expressions forbidden in a logline:
-darkest secrets
-revealing the shocking truth

If I ask you know to tell me in 5 seconds what are this darkest secrets and shoking truth, are you sure you can answer? A logline is not a game of throwing vague mysteries and random secrets. It’s about a solid structure with all the elements weel connected. Why 2 detectives?
You deperately need a plot, not a setting. What if it’s the 90 in france… who cares? If you nale a country it must be a country that match other elements in the logline. It’s a good exercise to write down a hundred of ‘things’ like this one, but then you have to chose the one that is the most promising and work to solidify the structure with weel chosen elements, and THEn you have a viable logline.

I admit Darkest secrets and Shocking truth are just observations at best with no real specific information.
A game of throwing vague mysteries and random secrets………Obviousley not.
Marshland is a current film have you seen it???
2 Detectives are on the case each has a different attitude and represents a different era and ideology.
Think…..True Detective.
It is based on fact, if you are attempting to right a Logline about a Current film then …..Obviousley you need the facts to be accurate.
Things…….These are opportunities to write and hone your skills and share the experience.
Thanks for your thoughts. ;}

there’s a bug in the website, if this is an existing movie the logline belongs to the “classic” page, not here.
