I think there is a little unneeded context.

A young British intelligence officer attempts to juggle dealing with a national security threats with keeping her work a secret from those closest to her.

This is enough of an engine to drive a series.  But you may want to think of adding something that will not fade.  Once her friends are comfortable with her excuse, they will stop pushing her, which takes fuel from your story engine.  Unlike features, a pilot needs an engine for 100 hours of TV, so you need an unresolvable problem.

What era is it?  That can help set tone.

      Hope this helps.

“…dealing with…” is a generic statement, not a specific action. What is it about this agent’s (MI6 I assume) MO that makes her spying technique special and interesting?

In addition to the way she does things, and especially important for a TV show, what kind of person is she? James Bond was a suave brute, Max Smart was a clumsy buffoon, Austin Powers was a charming clown, Sydney Bristow (Alias) was an ass-kicking charmer. It’s these characteristics that made them interesting and fun, what’s hers?

Perhaps a word “corrupted” would add extra fuel
