A small-town deputy marshal is not all he appears to be when he kills a man in the saloon to keep him from revealing the secrets of his past. It sets forth a series of events that begin to unravel his life.
When he’s later interviewed by a beautiful reporter about the incident, he makes it clear he doesn’t want his image printed with the story. It gets printed anyway. He eventually falls for the reporter, even though it’s risky for him to settle down with anyone – if his old gang is ever freed and catches up to him, they will take their vengeance on everyone he loves.
When his old gang boss escapes prison and a bounty hunter discovers him, he not only will face the wrath of his former gang for turning on them, but must also face the gallows for the crimes he committed as a boy after he was abducted by the brutal gang boss. Despite facing unfathomable loss, he comes to find redemption through love, but first he has to learn to the power of forgiveness – starting with himself.
